FORMER SAINSBURY'S SITE
The former Sainsbury’s site's retail centre is to be revitalised with a community-led regeneration.
Plans will see 836 purpose-built student accommodation across two BREEAM 'Excellent' blocks of five and six storeys, with c.34K SF of new retail and commercial across a reactivated Bristol Street, including a large medical facility for the local community.
Further boosting the site’s connectivity will be a new public realm and plaza space, a retained Selly Oak tree, and a new centralised link street.
There will also be 31 car parking spaces available across the site.
With 836 beds available in a mixture of 364 clusters & 472 studios, students will also benefit from associated amenities and small, private courtyards.
